Stiff Rope – Magic Trick by Di Fatta

It presents the public with a rope 90 cm long and 15 mm in diameter. It seems totally normal. Roll it around your hand to try it out. Grab it at its ends and stretch it horizontally. Then start a ritual of enchantment until the string is haunted.
Now, release one of the ends: the rope stays stiff, horizontally, only supported from one end. Put a handkerchief on top. The rope is still stiff.
Of course, by a sudden, the rope is loosened again.
